Mary T. Washington Wylie Accounting Internship Preperation Program will be held in Chicago on January 6-8, 2020.
This award-winning program is an all-expenses paid opportunity which launches African-American and other racial/ethnic minority college students into the accounting profession with access to training, resources, and mentors. At the end of the program, employers interview the students for a variety of paid accounting internships that could lead to full-time jobs.
Senate Majority Leader Kimberly A. Lightford (D-Maywood) is leading a discussion along with Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson on what happens once cannabis becomes legal in Illinois. The event will take place at the Broadview Village Hall on November 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Illinois Legislative Black Caucus is going on a bus tour to promote participation in the upcoming 2020 Census. The bus will be making four stops throughout the Chicago area on November 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
